Handmade Items Donated from U3A

Stitches for Charity is a group in the University of the Third Age (U3A). These wonderful ladies have donated twice this winter handmade knitted and crocheted items which we are distributing to people in Wagga. Thank you U3A for your generous support to people in our community who are battling the cold.

360 Meals Cooked on July 17

Our volunteer cooks do a wonderful job making delicious and nutritious meals three days a week. Our biggest cooking day for this year was on Thursday 17 July when 360 meals were produced. There was something for everyone – roast pork, sausages, curried mince, fettuccine Napoli, spaghetti primavera, pumpkin soup and meatballs.

Henty Creative Gallery Donate Handmade Beanies

Many thanks to the members of the Henty Creative Gallery who held their Annual Beanie Festival on the weekend. Carevan was the recipient of 50 beautiful handmade beanies (as modelled by our gorgeous Wednesday team!!)

Carevan Class Can Challenge

Late last school term, the leadership team from Wagga Wagga Public School visited our warehouse with 1,783 food items which the students had donated through a competition called Carevan Class Can Challenge.  As this was an extremely generous donation there is very little space on our shelves. Thank you to the Wagga Public School community.
